At last - all the track now laid

Over the last few days I have managed to spend about an hour on the layout every day. Finally, last night, the last (I think!) piece of track was fitted in place!

I have now started the wiring for the hidden sidings. This is reasonably complex as I am not using the points to switch power within them - they are each being controlled by their own switch. This includes the turntable roads so things get reasonably complex. Work it out - even with the point motors sharing one common return and the track another there are still over 30 wires required.

It will be great to get it done though. Although I have been able to run trains on the layout for quite a while now, only the station area has been available for holding trains other than the two running.With the hidden sidings operative I will at last have room for locos and stock for a really good operating session.
