Our exhibitions have proved to be popular with both the railway modelling fraternity and with family groups.

If you are interested in the 7mm Narrow Gauge Association or our local area group, please follow the "About us" link in the menu above.

We are extremely saddened to advise that one of our group's key members, John Hayward, passed away on Sunday 12th February, 2010.  Despite severe health problems he remained an active modeller, served as the host for many South Downs Area Group meetings and was the inspiration behind that group's successful "SWING" exhibitions. This was far from the only area of activity for a man who lived life to the full. He will be greatly missed. You can learn more about his life and his many achievements here.

The group were lucky enough to acquire a baseboard for a layout he had planned together with many of his model buildings, some dating from 35 years ago, and some stock, including his model locomotive "Nesta" of which he was very proud.

All of these were incorporated into a new model railway being built in his memory, which even though in a near embryonic state made a successful debut at the 2010 Amberley Rail Gala at the weekend of 10/11 July where it met with some considerable approbation. You can learn more about this model, "Hurlstone", here.
